The OnlyFans Black Friday promotion ideas that hold up are built on the platform's own tools: a promotional campaign for new or expired fans, a capped free trial, a multi-month subscription bundle or a lower price on one pay-per-view set, each with a fixed end on Cyber Monday and a price claim you can prove. Fill in the sale planner below before you switch anything on, then run the review sheet once the weekend is over.
This page assumes you have already decided a sale is right for your page; that decision belongs to the discount guardrails worksheet. How to structure a bundle is covered in the bundles and package deals guide, and trial-link tactics in the free trial links guide.
OnlyFans' native offer tools and their published limits
Every figure in this table comes from the OnlyFans page linked on the same row, as published when we checked it.
| Tool | Who it reaches | Published limit | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Promotional campaign | New or expired fans, up to a number you set | Up to 90% off your normal subscription price, with an expiry date | Help Centre: promotional campaigns |
| Free trial | Fans who have not subscribed and are not set to auto-renew | An expiry date and a set number of trials | Help Centre: free trials |
| Multi-month bundle | Fans buying two or more months at once | A maximum bundle price of $250 | Help Centre: subscription price |
| Personal subscription discount | Specific fans you choose | No range published | Help Centre: how discounts work for fans |
| Pay-per-view post | Subscribers who choose to unlock it | A $3 minimum and a $100 maximum | Help Centre: paid post prices |
| The subscription price itself | Everyone who subscribes | $4.99 to $50 a month, or a free account | Help Centre: subscription price |
One conflict is worth knowing about. The Creator Center describes promotional discounts for first-time subscribers as ranging from 5% to 100% off your normal price for up to 30 days, while the Help Centre's campaign article caps a promotional campaign at 90% and treats free access as a separate free trial. The Help Centre article is the more specific instruction, so this planner follows it, but the form in your own Subscription Price settings is the final word on what you can actually set.
Black Friday promotion ideas that use those tools
- Returning-fan offer: a promotional campaign limited to expired fans, announced to a list of people who used to subscribe.
- New-fan offer with a real cap: a campaign for new fans whose number limit matches the figure you announce publicly.
- Weekend pay-per-view deal: one existing set offered to current subscribers at a lower price than usual, for the weekend only.
- Bundle upgrade: a multi-month subscription bundle offered to current fans who would rather pre-pay than renew month by month.
- Capped trial for a partner promotion: free trial access for a limited number of new fans, tracked with its own link.
- No-discount value add: a bonus set included with the subscription over the weekend, for pages that prefer not to cut prices.
- Cyber Monday last call: one scheduled message on Monday to the list of fans who have not taken up the offer.
Pick one or two. Running every tool at once makes the review impossible, because you will not be able to tell which offer produced which result, and it multiplies the messages you have to answer over a single weekend.
The Black Friday sale planner
Complete one planner per offer, and fill in every field before the offer goes live; a blank field is usually where a sale goes wrong.
| Field | What to write | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Offer type | Campaign, trial, bundle, personal discount or pay-per-view price | Each tool has its own limits and its own audience |
| Audience | New fans, expired fans, both, or a named list | Campaigns and trials are configured for new or expired fans |
| Start | Date and time, plus the time zone the scheduler uses | Black Friday begins at different moments around the world |
| End | The expiry you will set, normally the close of Cyber Monday | The end you announce must be the end you configure |
| Cap | The number of discounted subscriptions or trials available | Any scarcity claim in your wording has to match it |
| Price floor | The lowest price you will accept, checked against platform minimums | Stops a sale drifting below what the content is worth to you |
| Normal price evidence | The price you charged before the sale, and since when | Supports any “was” price you choose to show |
| Public wording | The exact caption, pinned post and message text | Saved so the claims can be checked afterwards |
| Review metric | What you will count, such as campaign subscriptions and later full-price renewals | Chosen before the sale, so the result is not judged after the fact |
| Stop rule | What ends the offer early, and who makes that call | Keeps an offer from drifting past its window |
The Creator Center notes that the Reach tab in your statistics shows how many guests responded to campaigns, trial links and other promotions, which makes it the natural place to read the review metric. Give each offer its own tracking link so results do not blur together; the free trial conversion guide explains how to read trial results without overstating them.
Honest sale prices: the was-now rules
A Black Friday claim is only as good as the price history behind it. In Australia, the ACCC's guidance on price displays says a sale price can mislead when the item was not sold at the earlier price for a reasonable period right before the sale, and that a “sale” price kept for an extended period may effectively have become the normal price. In the US, the FTC's guide on former price comparisons says a former price should be the actual, bona fide price offered to the public on a regular basis for a reasonably substantial period, and calls a price inflated to make room for a large reduction a false bargain.
OnlyFans adds its own reasons for care. Its Acceptable Use Policy lists misleading descriptions among prohibited inaccurate information, and its Contract between Fan and Creator says a subscription renews at the current rate unless, among other things, the subscription price has increased. Raising your price shortly before the sale to make the discount look bigger therefore misleads new fans and can also interrupt automatic renewals for the fans you already have.
- Leave your normal price alone in the weeks leading up to the sale.
- Show a “was” price only if it is what fans have actually been paying recently.
- Announce the same cap and end date you configured, and let the offer end when you said it would.
- Describe exactly what the offer includes, and nothing it does not.
- If you promote a bundle by its monthly equivalent, show the total bundle price just as prominently; the ACCC gives a similar example for contracts advertised per month.
- Never call a price a sale if it is about to become your new normal price.
Consumer law differs by country, and how it applies to an individual creator depends on the facts, so treat these as honesty standards and speak to a lawyer if you run large or frequent promotions.
Timing the window from Friday to Cyber Monday
Black Friday is the Friday after the US Thanksgiving holiday and Cyber Monday is the Monday that follows, so the natural window runs from Friday morning to Monday night. Set the campaign expiry to the end of Monday in the time zone that matters most to your subscribers, and name that time zone in the announcement so nobody is caught out.
Schedule the launch post and any messages in advance, use lists so fans who have already taken the offer are not messaged again, and decide before Friday whether a last-call message will go out on Monday. The mass-message segmentation plan covers choosing who receives each message.
What happens to sale subscribers afterwards
The sale starts a relationship rather than ending a campaign. OnlyFans' fan-side help article on free trials and discounts says discounted subscriptions renew automatically at the full subscription price once the promotional period ends, unless the fan has turned auto-renew off, while free trial subscriptions do not auto-renew. Plan the first weeks for sale subscribers carefully, because their first full-price renewal is when the offer's real value shows.
The renewal experience checklist covers the month before rebill, and the December holiday plan shows how to keep the feed full through the weeks that follow, including your days off.
Post-sale review sheet
Fill this in once the offer has ended, then again after the first renewal date for sale subscribers.
| Question | Where to look | A good answer looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Did the offer run exactly as configured, from start to finish? | The saved planner and the live campaign settings | Yes, with no silent extensions or wording changes |
| How many fans used it compared with the cap? | The Reach tab and the offer's own tracking link | A figure you can compare with next year's sale |
| How many sale subscribers renewed at full price? | Statistics after the first renewal date | Recorded separately from fans who joined at the normal price |
| Did any public claim need correcting during the sale? | Your saved wording and the messages you sent | No corrections, or a note of what changed and why |
| What did the sale cost in time, including messages and extra content? | Your own work log for the weekend | An honest estimate you can weigh against the result |
| Repeat, change or retire this offer next year? | All of the answers above | One decision, written down with its reason |
To weigh the result against the effort, carry the answers into the promotion ROI scorecard. Keep the planner and the review together so next year's sale starts from evidence rather than memory.
Limitations
The limits quoted here are what OnlyFans' pages said on the day we checked them, and two of those pages disagree about discount ranges, so confirm the options in your own settings before planning around them. This planner cannot predict how many fans a sale will attract or keep, and the consumer-law points are general information rather than legal advice for your situation. If you want to compare campaigns across the year, the Valentine's campaign board uses the same offer tools for a February moment.
