A webcam model agency is a business that helps cam models run their work on token-based sites such as Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams, BongaCams and CamSoda. It usually takes one of two shapes: a studio, which holds a studio account so the site pays the studio and the studio pays you on its own terms, or a management arrangement, where you keep your own model account and the agency is paid for the work it does. Which shape you sign up for decides who controls the account and the money. SirenCY is a Melbourne-based creator management agency working with webcam models as well as OnlyFans and Fansly creators; its fees and terms are set out in each creator's written proposal or agreement.
Whether to stay independent at all is covered in webcam agency vs independent, and site-by-site payout terms in best webcam sites for models; this page explains what cam agencies do and how to judge one. More in the other platforms hub and the agency topics hub.
Webcam work is for adults only, and adult performance is illegal or heavily restricted in some countries. If you are unsure where you stand, speak to a qualified local lawyer before starting; if it is not lawful where you live, keep to non-explicit creator work.
Studio or independent: what the cam sites say
The big sites describe studio arrangements in their help pages, and the details decide how easily you can leave.
| Site | What the site says about studios | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Chaturbate | Studios register broadcasters through a sign-up link carrying the studio's username, so earnings flow into the studio account (studio accounts). Studio broadcasters cannot convert tokens themselves; the balance goes to the studio nightly (token conversion). | The studio decides when and how you are paid. |
| Stripchat | A studio account creates model accounts, has total control over them and pays the models attached to it (studio accounts). Models cannot hold an active independent account and a studio one at once (studio and independent). | Joining a studio can mean pausing independent work on that site. |
| Stripchat, leaving | If you registered independently and joined later, support can detach the account; if the studio created it, the account is the studio's (detaching). | Register yourself first if you want to keep the account. |
| CamSoda | CamSoda pays the studio and the studio pays the model; to go independent or switch, a model needs a written release or must wait 6 months from the last broadcast (studio models wiki). | Agree the release terms before you join. |
| BongaCams | Models and studios have separate payout minimums, $50 for models and $100 for studios (payment methods). | Ask how and when a studio passes your share on. |
Stripchat's Studio Rules work as a benchmark for any cam agency: confirm every model's age, pay models what they are owed, be open about pay and risks, put the relationship in a detailed contract, and keep any studio premises safe, with reasonable hours, breaks and privacy. Stripchat reserves the right to ban studios for good if they abuse or coerce models.
How cam sites pay models and studios
The sites publish their own payout rules. These are the figures as of October 2026, each from the page linked in its row; check them again before relying on them.
| Site | Paid to the model | Schedule and minimums |
|---|---|---|
| Chaturbate | $0.05 per token (conversion rates) | Two pay periods a month, the 1st–15th and the 16th to month end, paid within 7 business days; most methods start at $50 (getting paid). |
| Stripchat | $0.05 per token (token value) | Weekly on Tuesdays for most methods; minimums from $50 for e-wallets to $500 for international wire (payment methods). |
| MyFreeCams | $0.05 per token (payment information) | Paid on the 1st and 16th of each month; $20 minimum for most methods and $500 for international wire, per the same page. |
| BongaCams | Token value not stated on the pages reviewed | Weekly for Monday-to-Sunday earnings, paid the following Friday; $50 minimum for models (payment methods). |
| CamSoda | $0.05 to $0.055 per token (model payment information) | Weekly, per the same page. |
Matching token values hide real differences: show types, hours, payout fees and any studio split all change what reaches you. The Chaturbate token calculator and the webcam model income worksheet turn token counts into figures you can compare across offers.
What a webcam agency typically handles
Cam agency work centres on the operation around each broadcast. Typical tasks, each worth confirming in writing:
- Setup and verification: registering on each site in your own name where possible, with you completing the ID checks and signing the site's performer agreement yourself.
- Room and token menus: tip menus, show prices, goals and room rules that stay within each site's guidelines.
- Scheduling: planning broadcast times around your other commitments and the audiences you want to reach.
- Promotion: social posts, clips and profile updates that follow every platform's rules.
- Analytics: reading each site's earnings statistics to see which shows, times and menus earn.
- Payouts and records: choosing payout methods, keeping statements, and checking any studio split against the site's figures.
- Space and equipment: for studios, a room, camera, lighting and connection, with who pays for what in writing.
- Cross-platform work: clips, fan clubs or subscription pages that sit next to live shows.

Age checks, ID and US 2257 record-keeping
Every major cam site checks age and identity before anyone broadcasts, and the checks cover everyone who appears:
- Chaturbate asks for a valid government ID and a selfie, has each person on the account agree to its Independent Broadcaster Agreement, and lets nobody appear without acceptable ID (age verification).
- Stripchat asks for both sides of a passport, ID card or driving licence and a photo of you holding the ID next to a handwritten note of the date and your username (documents).
- MyFreeCams asks for your legal name, every alias you have used, your date of birth and a government ID, then a signed model contract (registration).
- BongaCams asks for an ID, a face photo and a photo of you holding the ID (model FAQ).
In the US, these checks sit alongside federal record-keeping law. 18 U.S.C. § 2257 requires producers of visual depictions of actual sexually explicit conduct to examine each performer's identification, record their legal name, date of birth and any other names they have used, keep those records available for inspection, and label the content with where the records are held; the detailed rules sit in 28 CFR Part 75. The sites run their own compliance, but whether you carry record-keeping duties yourself, for example when filming with another performer, is a question for a US lawyer.
An agency's part here should stay small: your ID belongs in the site's own upload, not a recruiter's chat, and nobody should hold your passport or ID card once verification is done. The wider rules are in age verification laws for creators and the creator legal and safety hub.
Privacy and geo-blocking tools
Cam sites give models location controls, and an agency should know them well enough to set them with you rather than for you:
- Chaturbate blocks countries, plus US states, Canadian provinces and UK regions, and warns that geo-blocking may not catch every IP address (geo-blocking).
- Stripchat hides your profile from chosen countries and from regions of most countries, noting that this may reduce traffic to your room (GEO blocking).
- MyFreeCams uses Block Locations to hide you from viewers whose IP address falls in a blocked country, region or state, guests and members alike (model features).
- BongaCams lets you set geo-restrictions that hide your profile from members in chosen countries and cities (model FAQ).
No location block is airtight, so treat it as one layer alongside a stage name, a separate email and care with what shows behind you. The webcam safety and privacy guide covers the rest.
How cam models start with SirenCY
Cam models apply to SirenCY the same way as other creators. The application opens a conversation; nothing is agreed until it is in writing.
- Apply. On the creator application page, list the sites you broadcast on and your usernames, say whether each account is independent or attached to a studio, and explain what you want help with.
- Describe your set-up. Where you broadcast from, your schedule, your boundaries, the payout methods you use and any current studio agreement, including its exit terms.
- Review the written proposal or agreement. It sets out SirenCY's fees and terms for you. Compare it with the questions below, and ask a local lawyer or worker-support organisation to read it if you want a second view.
- Keep ownership. Keep accounts, ID and payouts in your own name wherever the site allows it, and keep copies of every statement.
- Check the numbers. Compare reports with each site's earnings statistics and raise any gap quickly.
Questions to ask any webcam agency or studio
| Question | Why it matters | What you want to hear |
|---|---|---|
| Who registers my model account: you or me? | On Stripchat, an account a studio created belongs to the studio. | You register first, and any studio link can be removed later. |
| Who does the site pay? | Chaturbate sends a studio broadcaster's token balance to the studio. | The payment route, payday and method, written down. |
| What do I keep, and what comes out of it? | Room, equipment or training charges can shrink your share quietly. | Every deduction listed, with a sample statement. |
| Can I see the site's figures for my account? | Studios can view per-broadcaster earnings on sites such as Chaturbate. | The same statistics the studio sees. |
| Am I tied to certain sites? | Some sites bar holding a studio account and an independent one together. | Any exclusivity named, with an end date. |
| How do I leave, and what happens to my followers? | Leaving a CamSoda studio takes a written release or a wait. | Notice period, account release and final payment terms. |
| Who handles my ID documents? | ID should go to the site, not into an agency's files. | You upload it yourself and nobody keeps copies. |
| What are working conditions like in your studio space? | Stripchat expects studios to provide safe, private workspaces. | Hours, breaks, privacy, and who holds keys to the room. |
Red flags, studio traps and scams
- Joining, training or equipment fees before you have earned anything; the FTC's modeling scam advice notes that legitimate agencies get paid when you get paid, not before.
- A recruiter who wants ID photos sent over chat, or who keeps your passport “for safekeeping”.
- An account set up in the studio's name with no written answer on whether you can take it with you.
- Accommodation, flights or a room in a shared “content house” provided against future earnings, with rent or debts taken out of pay you never see itemised.
- Pay only in cash or crypto, with no statement of tokens earned and deductions made.
- Pressure to broadcast longer, accept show types you have refused, or move viewers off the site.
- No way to complain except to the person you would be complaining about.
The National Human Trafficking Hotline describes trafficking as force, fraud or coercion used to make someone perform commercial sex or labour against their will. If any of that is happening, contact the police; in the US, the hotline can help too. More warning signs are in modeling agency scams and common scams targeting creators.
Camming alongside OnlyFans, Fansly and Fanvue
If you also sell subscriptions or clips, one agency can coordinate both when the agreement covers each platform. Live shows and subscription pages earn differently: tokens arrive during a broadcast, while subscription income builds through recurring billing and locked content, so plans, prices and reports have to respect each site's own rules.
Compare the two models in webcam modeling vs OnlyFans, then see the OnlyFans management agency overview, the Fansly agency page or the Fanvue agency page. For other subscription options, start with OnlyFans alternatives and OnlyFans vs Fansly.
Webcam model agency FAQs
What is the difference between a cam studio and a cam agency?
The words are used loosely. A studio usually holds a studio account, pays its models itself and may provide a room and equipment; a management agency usually works on accounts the model holds and invoices for its work. Ask which you are dealing with, because it decides who the site pays.
How do webcam agencies get paid?
Usually from a share of what you earn, either kept before the studio pays you or invoiced afterwards. The figure, the base and the deductions vary, so get all three in writing with an example statement.
Can I work with an agency and keep my independent account?
Yes, if the agency manages your account rather than attaching it to a studio. On sites such as Stripchat, joining a studio affects independent broadcasting, so check each site's rules first.
Can an agency promise how much I will make?
No one can. Earnings depend on audiences, hours, show types and sites, so treat fixed weekly or monthly figures in a recruitment pitch as a warning sign.
Can I apply to SirenCY if I am already with a studio?
Yes. Mention the studio arrangement and its exit terms in your application; any proposal will turn on the conversation about fit and on what your current agreement allows.
Apply as a cam model
Broadcasting on one site or several, independent or with a studio: apply with your site usernames and what you want handled. Fees and terms come in a written proposal or agreement, and nothing starts before you have read it.

Sources and limitations
This page is general information, not legal, tax or employment advice. Its limitations: cam sites change payout rules, studio policies and verification steps without notice, some figures come from site-run wikis rather than formal terms, and whether you are a contractor or employee of a studio depends on your country and the real arrangement. Nothing here predicts earnings. Check the linked pages before you rely on them, and ask a qualified local adviser to look over any studio or agency agreement.
