OnlyFans PPV Resend Test Plan: Segments, Timing and Stop Rules

An OnlyFans PPV resend test plan should answer one narrow question: did one additional offer to a defined group produce purchases beyond the purchases recorded in a comparable group that received no resend? Start with subscribers who received the original PPV and have not bought it, split one eligible segment into treatment and holdout, send the treatment group one unchanged offer at a pre-declared time, then close both groups on the same observation date. Suppress prior buyers, freeze assignments and choose the stop rules before seeing the outcome.
Keep the job narrow. A launch plan decides whether the asset, preview, audience and send record are ready for the first release. Decide whether the resend question is testable
Choose one PPV asset with an identifiable original send and a purchase record that can be checked again before assignment. The test should reuse the same asset, displayed price, preview and core offer. If the second message changes both the price and the copy, the result cannot isolate the effect of receiving another offer. That may be a useful campaign, but it is not this resend test.
Write the decision the test could change. A useful decision is specific: “For non-buyers in Segment A, repeat one unchanged resend at the same delay in one further test,” or “Retain the original send only.” Avoid vague goals such as “improve PPV” because they allow any movement to be called a win. Confirm that the creator can preserve recipient-level assignment and purchase status for the full window. If the available records cannot distinguish the exact PPV asset, prior buyers or the two assigned groups, pause before sending. A smaller clean test is more useful than a larger list whose members cannot be reconciled.
Build one eligible segment and a suppression ledger
Define eligibility with observable fields available at the snapshot time. A practical starting population is people who were eligible for and received the original offer, remain reachable under the creator's current workflow and have no recorded purchase of that asset. From that population, choose one segment at a time. For example, a creator might separate recent subscribers from longer-tenure subscribers, or previous PPV buyers from people with no recorded PPV purchase. Those categories are operating examples, not claims that one will perform better.
Never mix segments after assignment and then compare the blended totals. If previous buyers are concentrated in treatment while first-time prospects are concentrated in holdout, the resend is confounded with purchase history. Create a separate test row for each segment or choose one segment and leave the others for later.
Run suppressions immediately before the split. Remove anyone with a verified purchase of the exact asset, anyone already sent a duplicate offer outside this test, and anyone with a current service issue or manual no-send note. If the creator is already in a tailored one-to-one conversation about the same asset, either suppress that subscriber or close the conversation before the eligibility snapshot. Record the reason; do not silently delete rows.

A stable label for this one content, segment and resend-window combination.
PPV asset ID
The private catalogue label for the exact content offered in the original send.
Original send timestamp
The recorded time anchor from which resend delay is measured.
Original audience rule
Who was eligible for the first offer, written before creating the resend audience.
Segment rule
One observable subscriber condition used for both treatment and holdout.
Eligibility snapshot time
The moment the audience list was frozen for assignment.
Prior-purchase check
The current record used to remove anyone who already bought the asset.
Other suppression reason
Recent duplicate offer, active service issue, manual exclusion or conflicting conversation.
Assignment
Treatment or holdout, frozen before any resend is released.
Assignment method
The reproducible random or pseudo-random method used inside the segment.
Resend timestamp
The one planned send time for treatment members.
Observation closes
The fixed time after which outcomes are counted for both groups.

Purchase of this exact asset during the observation window, recorded per assigned recipient.

Creator-chosen operational data such as net receipt or negative replies, kept separate from the primary measure.
Guardrail ceiling
A creator-selected count or rate that stops the test if reached.
Data issue flag
Contamination, failed delivery check, changed offer or missing purchase record.
Decision state
Invalid, Stop, Repeat once, Narrow the segment or Inconclusive.
Next action
The single action allowed by the pre-declared decision rule.
Freeze treatment and holdout before the resend
Within the chosen segment, assign every eligible person to treatment or holdout using one reproducible method. A spreadsheet can generate a random value, sort the frozen rows and allocate them according to a pre-declared ratio. Freeze the resulting values and assignments; do not recalculate the random column. When proper random assignment is unavailable, use a stable pseudo-random method such as sorting by a persistent internal ID and alternating rows, then disclose the limitation.
The treatment group receives one resend. The holdout group receives no resend of that asset during the test window. Both groups remain eligible to purchase through any path that was already available before the test. This is why the holdout matters: it estimates background purchases that may occur without the additional message. Counting treatment purchases alone overstates what can be attributed to the resend whenever some subscribers would have purchased anyway.
Analyse people according to their frozen assignment, even if a treatment send later has a delivery issue. Keep a separate “actually sent or verified” field for diagnosis. Moving failed treatment rows into holdout after seeing the issue would make the groups incomparable. If the failure is widespread enough to make the planned treatment meaningless, use the Invalid state instead of repairing the result after the fact.
Copyable assignment rule
“At [snapshot time], freeze all eligible non-buyers in [segment rule]. Remove recorded buyers and named suppressions. Generate and freeze one random value per row. Assign [chosen share] to treatment and the remainder to holdout. Treatment receives one unchanged resend at [timestamp]. Holdout receives no resend of this asset until [observation close].”
Pre-declare timing without inventing a best hour
Measure resend timing from the original send timestamp, not from a remembered day label. Record the planned delay, calendar date, time zone and observation close before assignment is revealed to the sender. Use a delay that fits the creator's real PPV cycle and leaves enough time to reconcile purchases. There is no universal resend delay or “best” hour in this plan.
Keep timing identical for everyone in treatment. If half receives the resend in the afternoon and half late at night, timing becomes another variable. To test timing, run a later experiment with two resend-time treatments plus a holdout; do not add that complexity to the first test. One variable makes the decision easier to interpret.
During the window, suppress another mass offer for the same asset to both groups. Continue normal creator activity only if it applies consistently and can be recorded. Do not extend the window because purchases look slow or close it early because purchases appear strong. The close time exists to prevent result-driven timing changes.
Measure incremental purchases, not the treatment total
Use one primary measure: whether an assigned recipient purchased the exact asset before the observation close. Count the denominator as all eligible people in the frozen assignment, not only people who opened a message or replied. Opens and replies can be useful diagnostics when they are available in a current record, but conditioning the main result on an action that occurs after assignment can distort the comparison.

Report the raw counts beside every rate. A rate based on one purchase among a few recipients should not be presented with the certainty of a large repeated test. This worksheet does not declare a universal minimum audience, statistical threshold or expected lift. If the creator cannot assess sampling uncertainty, use the difference as descriptive evidence and require a comparable repeat before changing routine.
Keep money measures secondary. Net receipt per assigned recipient can help compare economic value when the creator has a current verified receipt basis, but it should not replace the purchase-rate check without being declared in advance. Set operational stop rules before looking at results
Stop rules protect the subscriber experience and the usefulness of the record. Choose creator-specific guardrails before the send: a maximum number or rate of negative replies, a maximum support workload, and a buyer-suppression accuracy requirement. The worksheet does not invent a universal ceiling. Write the chosen ceiling, the data source and who can halt the send.
- Pre-send stop: do not release the treatment if the purchase list is stale, the holdout is not frozen or the same asset is scheduled elsewhere during the window.
- Execution stop: halt unsent treatment batches if the wrong asset, price, preview or audience is detected.
- Experience stop: stop further resends in the series when the pre-declared negative-reply or support ceiling is reached.
- Inference stop: mark the test Invalid when contamination or missing records prevent a treatment-versus-holdout comparison.
- Series stop: do not run a third attempt simply because two clean tests failed to show a direction worth repeating.
A stopped test is still useful if the reason is preserved. Record the timestamp, rule triggered, affected rows and remediation. Do not delete an inconvenient run or merge it into a later clean test. The purpose is to make a repeatable operating decision, not manufacture a positive story.
Use decision logic that resists one-test overconfidence
Apply the decision states in order. Validity and guardrails come before the purchase-rate direction. A directionally positive test earns a comparable repeat, not an automatic permanent resend schedule. A flat or negative comparison stops this exact series. A mixed result should be narrowed to a segment instead of averaged into a convenient headline.
Invalid
Do not interpret the comparison if holdout members received the resend, buyers were not suppressed, the price or asset changed between groups, or assignment records cannot be reconstructed.
Stop
Do not schedule another resend in this test series when the treatment purchase rate is no higher than the holdout rate or an operational guardrail is breached.
Repeat once
When treatment is directionally higher, guardrails remain inside their ceilings and the record is complete, repeat the same design on a new eligible cohort before adopting a routine.
Narrow the segment
When unlike subscriber groups move in different directions, keep their rows separate and design a new test for one clearly defined segment.
Inconclusive
When counts are too small, records are incomplete or the difference is unstable, preserve the test and make no resend-policy change from it.
Copy the test sheet and run the closeout
Create two tabs. The Test Plan tab stores the hypothesis, audience rule, timing, primary measure, guardrails and decision logic. The Recipient Ledger stores one frozen row per eligible person. Preserve the original assignment file and add outcomes in new columns. Do not overwrite eligibility or suppression values after the resend.

An illustrative setup could freeze 240 eligible non-buyers in one segment and assign 120 to treatment and 120 to holdout. Those numbers demonstrate balanced assignment only; they are not a recommended sample, a platform benchmark or a claimed creator result. Leave every outcome cell blank until the fixed close. If ten rows become contaminated, flag them and apply the validity rule rather than replacing them with more favourable recipients.
