Choose an OnlyFans promotion channel by comparing where your intended adult audience already gathers, which native format you can produce well, whether your content and profile path fit current rules, how much weekly work the channel needs, what privacy exposure remains and how quickly you can learn. Select one primary test and one backup; do not spread a new creator across every network.

This worksheet helps you choose before you measure. It does not score ROI, build attribution or declare a universally best channel. After the selection, use the promotion ROI scorecard to review actual cost, time and attributable outcomes.

Define the promotion job before naming a platform

Write the immediate job: introduce the creator to a relevant audience, demonstrate a recurring theme, build familiarity, start conversation or invite a qualified next step. “Get subscribers” is an outcome too far downstream to guide the content format or channel choice.

Add the creator's page promise and the audience interest that makes it relevant. A cosplay build diary, fitness progress journal and conversational lifestyle page require different discovery contexts even when all use subscription content. The right channel is the place where the specific promise can be shown honestly and natively.

Set the decision window and available capacity. This is a selection exercise, not an endless research project. A channel that looks attractive but cannot be tested with ordinary weekly effort should not become the first priority.

Evaluate Audience access with direct evidence

Search the channel as a user interested in the creator's themes. Examine active communities, conversations, search language and content formats. Distinguish people discussing the interest from creators only promoting to one another. Large visible follower counts do not prove the intended audience is reachable.

Record examples of questions, recurring topics and creators who communicate in a compatible style. Do not copy their content or assume their audience response will transfer. The evidence should show that a relevant conversation exists and that the creator has a credible contribution.

If the creator already has a small audience, note where genuine replies, profile visits or link activity have appeared. Treat anecdotal messages as directional evidence, not a market size estimate.

Test Format fit with two sample concepts

Draft two native post concepts for each candidate channel using approved safe-for-work material. Specify hook, visual or text format, audience value, interaction and next step. If every concept is merely an advertisement resized for another platform, the channel has not demonstrated format fit.

Estimate the full production chain: shooting, editing, captions, accessibility, moderation, posting and response. Reuse may reduce work, but every channel still needs an appropriate crop, context and policy review. Include the time required to learn unfamiliar tools.

Prefer the channel where the creator's normal creative strengths match the native format. A writer may sustain useful Reddit participation; a creator comfortable with short demonstrations may prefer vertical video. This is a capacity choice, not a claim about platform performance.

Make Policy fit a pass gate

Read the current official rules for the platform and, where relevant, the specific community. Check adult sexual content, solicitation, links, spam, repeated commercial posting, artificial engagement and account eligibility. Save the rule URLs and review date in the worksheet.

Judge the actual proposed content and profile path. A channel is not a fit when the plan depends on hiding the destination, using suggestive wording that current rules restrict or repeatedly posting where promotion is prohibited. Redesign the content job or choose another channel.

Rules and enforcement can change. Treat policy fit as current and conditional, not permanent. The Reddit promotion guide develops one channel after it passes selection; it does not override subreddit rules.

Measure Capacity fit from an ordinary week

List the minimum repeatable work for a useful test: research, production, publishing, community participation, moderation and review. Place it beside existing OnlyFans content and fan commitments. Do not assign the leftover hours of an ideal week.

Decide what will stop or shrink while the test runs. Adding a channel without removing any work is not a plan. Protect paid promises, rest and privacy review before optional publication volume.

Define a reduced version the creator can still execute when energy drops. If the smallest useful test remains too demanding, the channel is a later option, even when its audience fit appears strong.

Audit privacy and the profile handoff

Check what the channel may expose through contacts, location, usernames, linked accounts, image backgrounds, metadata and collaborative features. Record which settings were reviewed and what exposure remains. A privacy decision belongs to the creator; do not label a channel safe merely because one setting exists.

Walk from a sample post to the public profile and any currently permitted destination on mobile. Confirm identity continuity, policy-compatible wording, working links where available and a clear next step. Do not assume every account has the same profile-link features.

Pause if the handoff requires misleading text or an unverified technique. The wider promotion strategy guide offers other channel paths; this worksheet should be allowed to reject one.

CriterionQuestionEvidence
Audience accessCan the creator reach adults whose interests match the profile promise without relying on an imagined demographic?Public examples, community descriptions and creator-owned audience evidence.
Format fitCan the creator make the native formats well with current skills, assets and accessibility needs? Two sample concepts and the production steps each requires.
Policy fitCan the intended identity, content and profile path comply with current platform and community rules?Dated links to official rules plus a current account check.
Capacity fitCan the creator publish, respond and learn without abandoning paid commitments or rest?Ordinary weekly hours and the smallest viable test workload.
Privacy fitDoes the channel expose identity, location, contacts or collaboration context the creator intends to separate?Settings reviewed, remaining exposure and the creator decision.
Profile handoffCan an interested visitor understand the next step using currently permitted profile options?A mobile walkthrough from post to profile to destination.
Feedback speedWill the creator receive enough useful observations to learn within a reasonable test?Available views, profile actions, comments and link evidence without invented benchmarks.
DurabilityCan useful posts or relationships continue providing value, or does the channel demand constant replacement?Expected content life and maintenance burden based on direct observation.

Mark each criterion pass, concern, fail or unverified and write the evidence. Do not average a policy failure away with strong audience access. Select the primary channel only when essential gates pass; record the backup and the event that would activate it.

Turn the selection into a bounded test

Write the channel, audience, content job, two or three native formats, weekly capacity, publication owner and review event. Name what will remain constant and what question the test should answer. A useful first question is whether the creator can repeatedly reach and engage the intended audience with policy-compatible content.

Record available observations without setting a universal success rate: published posts, relevant replies, profile visits, destination activity where supported, moderation outcomes and creator workload. Decide in advance what would cause the test to continue, change, pause or stop.

Do not start the backup simultaneously unless the decision explicitly requires a comparison and capacity exists. Focus is part of the experiment. It allows the creator to learn the channel's language rather than perform shallow activity everywhere.

Apply disqualifiers before comparing strengths

Mark a channel ineligible when the intended content or destination conflicts with current rules, the privacy exposure exceeds the creator's boundary, or the smallest useful test exceeds ordinary capacity. Do not offset one of these failures with audience size or enthusiasm. A disqualifier means redesign or reject.

For remaining candidates, compare evidence quality. Direct observation of relevant conversations is stronger than a generic platform reputation. Two native sample concepts are stronger than saying the creator “could make videos.” A completed mobile handoff is stronger than assuming a profile feature exists.

Write a short selection memo: chosen channel, strongest evidence, largest concern, rejected alternatives and the event that would reopen the choice. This makes the decision reversible without forcing the creator to repeat the entire research process after one difficult post. Add the current official rule sources so the next reviewer can distinguish a strategy change from a policy change.

Sources and limitations

Review current official rules before choosing a channel, including TikTok's Community Guidelines, Instagram's Community Guidelines and the relevant Reddit community rules. Community-specific rules also apply.

Limitations: this worksheet compares strategic fit before a test. It cannot forecast reach, conversion, moderation or account availability. Platform features and policies change, and actual outcomes depend on content, audience, timing and creator execution.

Add opportunity cost before choosing a channel

List the weekly hours needed for account setup, native content, moderation, community participation, link maintenance and review. Then name what those hours would replace: subscriber care, production, rest or another channel. A channel with a large theoretical audience can be a poor first choice when it demands formats the creator cannot produce consistently or when it removes time from the paid-page experience.

Write a minimum viable test and an exit condition before publishing. The test should name one audience, one content job, one approved destination and one observation window. The exit condition should cover policy warnings, unusable attribution, unsafe attention, excessive moderation or a workload the creator does not want to repeat. “Stay everywhere” is not a selection decision.

The worksheet ranks fit for this creator and this test; it does not declare a universal best promotion platform. Revisit the choice when the content format, public persona, available time, account standing or destination changes.

Keep rejected channels in the decision record with one dated reason and a review trigger. That prevents a large audience estimate from repeatedly reopening a channel that failed on policy, privacy, format or capacity. Reconsider it only when the failed condition has materially changed.
