On ordinary sales JustForFans and OnlyFans leave a creator the same cut: JFF's help desk article What percentage of sales do I receive? says performers get 80% across the board, and the OnlyFans Terms of Service set the platform fee at 20% of each fan payment. The choice turns on what surrounds that figure: JFF's exclusive program, automatic JFF payouts, on-site browsing that puts JFF performers in front of fans, and a JFF banned-words list that stops you writing “onlyfans” on your JFF page.
This comparison covers money, selling tools and reach, read from each company's own documents on 1 October 2026. Account protection and consent tooling are compared in our OnlyFans vs Fansly vs JustForFans security checklist, and JFF sign-up, ID review and payout setup are covered in the JustForFans creator guide to ID verification and payouts.
JustForFans and OnlyFans, row by row
Each row names its source. A cell saying the terms are silent means the page we read did not cover that point, not that the feature is missing.

Where the money genuinely diverges
Because the standard share is the same, the gap comes from three places: which transactions qualify for JFF's higher rate, how quickly cash reaches you, and what each platform claws back when a fan disputes a charge.
Start with the exclusive rate. JFF's percentage article gives exclusive performers 85% on transactions “such as tips, store sales, private media sales, SMS”; subscriptions are not on that list, and the article never says what exclusivity requires. If it means JFF-only, it rules out an OnlyFans page, so get JFF's conditions in writing before you plan around the higher rate.
Timing is the second difference. JFF's article My payout is less than I expected says weekly payouts are calculated on Mondays and issued on Wednesdays, with any later sale rolling into the next week. OnlyFans' terms only say your balance must meet a minimum payout amount; the minimums and holding periods quoted on comparison sites are not in those terms, so read the payout settings for your own country instead.
Disputes are the third. OnlyFans' terms let it deduct the creator-earnings share of a refunded or charged-back payment. JFF's publishing rules forbid removing all or most of your content while subscribers remain, because that “will lead to chargebacks”, and its refund article lets you refund a custom order you decline straight from the sales page.
Compare your own take-home in four steps
- Pull a recent month of statements and split income into subscriptions, tips, paid messages, custom orders and any store or clip sales.
- Apply JFF's standard 80% from its help desk to every bucket, then rerun tips, store, private media and SMS at 85% only if JFF confirms you qualify as exclusive.
- Add what your bank, wallet or crypto provider charges on receipt; OnlyFans' terms leave those charges with you, and JFF's payout articles do not list them.
- Lay the results on a calendar, for example with our payout forecast worksheet, because a Wednesday weekly payout and an on-request withdrawal give different cash flow from the same total.
Selling tools that shape your pricing
Tiers are the clearest structural difference. JFF's fan help says fans can upgrade to a higher tier on a performer's profile, while moving down means letting the subscription lapse and rejoining lower. The OnlyFans terms we read mention a single monthly price and list pay-per-view content and direct messages as the other ways fans pay, so check your OnlyFans dashboard for its current promotion options.
Price rises work differently too. On JFF, current subscribers keep their old rate until they cancel; the price change article says JFF can switch subscriptions off and back on once all have expired if you want everyone on the new rate. OnlyFans' fan terms list a price increase among the cases where a subscription is not automatically charged again. A JFF rise therefore lands mainly on new fans, while an OnlyFans rise asks existing fans to decide again; confirm the current behaviour in each dashboard before announcing one.
Trials are tighter on JFF: its discount article says card-processor rules rule out free trials, making $1 the cheapest. JFF's store sells videos as downloads or streams and store uploads do not post to your feed, so a store launch needs its own announcement, and scheduled shows appear on the Live Cam Shows page 24 hours ahead, per the live show scheduling article. When its app article was last edited in 2020, JFF had no mobile app because app stores refuse adult content, so plan for fans arriving through a browser.
Audience and discovery: what the documents can and cannot show
Neither company's documents that we read publish audience figures, and third-party estimates disagree, so this post makes no claim about which platform is bigger for your niche. The documents do show how each one surfaces creators.
The JFF homepage text served to search engines calls it a fan site for LGBTQ and kink content and advertises 80-85% payouts. Its menus are built for browsing, with categories, a full performer list, free previews, studios and photographers, and a filter for which genders a fan sees. The performer spotlight article says completing the spotlight questionnaire enters you into random selection, and exclusive performers can schedule up to one slot per week.
OnlyFans' terms describe recommender systems that suggest creators based on what similar fans follow, and they bar promotion through Google Ads or other search-engine advertising, which matters if your growth plan depends on paid search.
JFF's terms also bar subscribers in Sweden from live cam shows and custom video orders, and require extra age-verification steps for fans in certain states that mandate it. The fan age verification article describes photographing an ID and taking a selfie, one more step between those visitors and a paid subscription.
- Browse the JFF categories that fit your content and see whether similar creators show up in free previews and on Today's Sales.
- Ask your audience on your own social channels whether they already use JFF.
- Map where paying fans come from; if search ads drive most of them, OnlyFans' advertising rule closes that route there.
- Check how much of your audience sits in Sweden or in states with age-verification laws.
Running both pages without breaking either rulebook
If you keep a page on each platform, JFF's rules decide how you cross-promote. Its legal documents put “onlyfans”, “onlyfans.com” and “manyvids” on a list of words that cannot appear anywhere visible on the site, including posts, bios, product listings and private messages. Keep any list of your other pages on channels you control, such as your own website or social profiles. Disguising a banned name with spaces or symbols is a workaround that puts the account at risk, so do not try it.
JFF's terms also bar asking subscribers for money, or sending them any, outside subscription and store sales. Both platforms take a licence over uploads: JFF's is irrevocable, and OnlyFans' is perpetual and transferable, though OnlyFans says it will never sell your content to other platforms. Anything posted on both is covered by both licences, so keep a dated record of what went where.
Run-both checklist
- Write a separate JFF bio and post copy that never names the other platform, and recheck the banned-words list whenever JFF's legal page date changes.
- Get JFF's exclusive-program conditions in writing before counting on the higher exclusive rate.
- Track two payout calendars: JFF's Monday calculation and Wednesday issue, and whatever withdrawal timing your OnlyFans settings show.
- Log each upload's date and platform so licence questions and takedown requests are quick to answer.
- Keep co-performer consent records in each platform's required format; the security and consent comparison covers what to ask.
- Keep clean master files, since JFF watermarks every photo and offers URL or logo watermarks on video, per its watermark article.
Which should be your primary platform?
Use this list as a tie-breaker after the matrix. If most answers point one way, make that platform your primary and treat the other as a test you can stop without hurting your main income.
- JFF as the main page if your content fits the communities JFF says it serves and you would use on-site browsing, tiers, the store or scheduled live shows.
- OnlyFans as the main page if you already bring fans in from your own social channels and earn mainly from one subscription price plus paid messages and pay-per-view.
- JFF exclusivity only if tips, store, private media and SMS make up much of your income and JFF has confirmed the conditions in writing.
- One platform for now if you cannot keep two calendars, inboxes, payout records and rulebooks current every week.
- Neither yet if you live outside JFF's bank-transfer countries and have not checked whether crypto, Paxum or OnlyFans' payout options work for you; our OnlyFans alternatives overview lists other platforms to weigh.
Limits of this comparison
Several rows rely on JFF help desk articles last edited between 2020 and 2025, while JFF's terms show a last-updated date of 1 September 2026; where the two could differ, the terms and your own dashboard win. OnlyFans' terms do not state its minimum payout or withdrawal timing, JFF's exclusive-program rules were not public in the pages we read, and nothing here measures audience size or conversion on either platform.
Payout methods, banned terms and regional rules change, so recheck the linked pages before moving fans or content. This is general business information, not legal, tax or financial advice; for contract or tax questions about either company, speak to a qualified professional where you live.
