OnlyFans payout problems after a withdrawal request come down to four states you can read on your Statements page: earnings still sitting in Pending Balance, a payout request rejected and returned to your Current Balance with a reason, a request marked as processed that hasn't reached your bank, or a payout heading to details you need to change. Each state has its own fix and its own inbox. OnlyFans' payment delay article sends late processed transfers to payments@onlyfans.com, while its suspended or rejected payouts article sends account-level payout blocks to support@onlyfans.com.
This guide starts after you have pressed Request withdrawal, or after an automatic payout should have run. It doesn't repeat which payout methods exist or what each one costs: that lives in our breakdown of OnlyFans payment methods and the comparison of OnlyFans banking options. If you want to estimate when money should land before anything goes wrong, use the payout forecast worksheet.
First, read the state on your Statements page
OnlyFans' article on how long it takes to get paid your earnings says the Statements page shows your Earnings, Payout Requests, Current Balance and Pending Balance. Open Payout Requests before you do anything else, because the wording beside each request tells you which problem you actually have. The interface text file the OnlyFans web app loads uses three request states:
- “Payout request is being processed”: the request was accepted and the transfer is under way, so there is nothing to fix yet.
- “Payout has been processed”: OnlyFans has sent the money, and any remaining delay sits with the payment provider or your bank.
- “Payout request could not be processed and this amount was returned to your Current Balance”: the request failed, the money never left OnlyFans, and a stated reason follows the message.
The OnlyFans Creator Center adds that deposited payouts are marked with a check, and that earnings with a checkmark have already moved from pending into your current balance. If you can't see a request at all, none was created. The help article on how to get paid your earnings says an automatic payout only runs when your Current Balance is above the minimum for your method, which is $20 for most payout methods and is shown on the Statements page.
Symptom-to-cause decision table
Find the row that matches what you see. The source column links the OnlyFans page that each cause and fix comes from, so you can check the wording yourself before acting.
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Money is listed under Pending Balance rather than Current Balance | The normal holding period: most creators' earnings stay pending for 7 days, while creators in a small number of high-reversal countries wait 21 days until four months after their first earned transaction | Wait for the release date; there is nothing to report. Plan around the hold with the forecast worksheet | Payout timing article |
| The withdraw option is unavailable, or a message tells you to contact support to resume payouts | Payouts are switched off on the account, which OnlyFans says points to an issue with the account itself | Check your notifications for verification or restriction notices, then email support@onlyfans.com with your @username | Suspended or rejected payouts |
| A notice says a withdrawal request was already made in the last 12 hours | A 12-hour cool-down between withdrawal requests, which the interface describes as fraud protection | Let the cool-down end, then make a single new request | Web app interface text |
| No request appears, or a scheduled automatic payout didn't run | Current Balance below the minimum for your payout method, which is $20 for most methods | Check the minimum listed on your Statements page and wait until the balance clears it | How to get paid |
| The request shows the could-not-be-processed wording and the amount is back in Current Balance | The transfer failed for the reason printed beside the request | Copy the reason exactly, fix the thing it names, then submit one new request; ask support if the reason is unclear | Web app interface text |
| Marked as processed, but nothing in your account after 3 to 5 business days | An ordinary provider or bank delay; OnlyFans says some payouts take up to 10 business days | Hold off chasing until 10 business days have passed since processing | How long payouts take |
| Processed more than 10 days ago and still missing | A delay at the payment provider, which OnlyFans says is outside its control | Email payments@onlyfans.com with a copy of your bank statement; for bank wires outside the US, get the Destination Trace ID from your bank first | Payment delay article |
| The payout arrived but is smaller than you expected | Refunds and chargebacks show as an Adjustment on Statements, and your bank or e-wallet may take conversion or receiving fees | Compare the adjustments with your bank's fee lines before you raise a ticket | Payout timing article and bank fees article |
| Earnings shown as withheld or forfeited after a review | OnlyFans can pause payments or withhold earnings while it reviews a suspected serious breach or fraud, and says it will send a statement of reasons | Dispute a forfeiture through the Complaints Policy within six months of the notice | Terms of Use |
| A pending request is heading to an old or mistyped account | The receiving details changed after the request, or were wrong when it was made | Choose the contact form subject Cancel my payout request, then correct your banking | Contact form |
When OnlyFans' own timings disagree
OnlyFans describes payout speed in slightly different ways depending on the page. The Creator Center says payouts take between three and five business days on average to reach your account. The Payout Requests screen text says transactions can take up to 3-5 business days. The help centre's timing article allows up to 10 business days in some cases, and the delay article tells you to write in once more than 10 days have passed since processing, without saying business days.
The practical reading is to use the longest window before escalating: count business days from the processing date, not from the day you pressed the button. Before writing in, also open the OnlyFans status page, which reports a Transactions component alongside login and messaging, so you can rule out a platform-wide incident in a few seconds.
Changing banking details without losing a payout
The Creator Center says you can pick a new payout method directly from the Banking section of your account. The risk is timing, because a request already in flight can still be routed to the old details. Work through these steps in order:
- Open Payout Requests first. If a request is pending to the account you are replacing, cancel it through the contact form subject Cancel my payout request before you edit anything.
- Make the change in a session you started yourself by typing onlyfans.com into the browser. The Australian Cyber Security Centre gives the same advice for password changes, because fake links sent by email or message are common.
- Keep the new account in your verified legal name. One of the bank forms in OnlyFans' interface text states that the bank details you provide must be in that legal name.
- Don't close the old account until a payout to the new details has arrived, in case a request you overlooked is still routed there.
- Note the date and time of the change and of the first request made afterwards. You need both if a transfer goes astray.
- If you see a banking change you didn't make, stop and treat it as a security incident: follow our OnlyFans hacked account recovery steps. OnlyFans' Terms of Use say it is not responsible for compromised accounts or the unauthorised withdrawals that follow, so speed matters.
Evidence checklist before you email
A ticket that answers the obvious questions up front avoids a round of back-and-forth. Gather these before you write:
- Your @username and the email address registered on the account.
- A screenshot of Payout Requests showing the request date, the amount and its status wording.
- The rejection reason copied word for word, if the request failed.
- A copy of your bank or e-wallet statement covering the days since processing, which the delay article asks for.
- For an international bank wire, the Destination Trace ID your bank provides on request.
- The payout method and the last four digits of the receiving account, leaving the full number out of email.
- The date of any banking or payout method change, and who made it.
- A note that the Transactions line on the status page showed no incident when you checked.
Leave out your password, any two-step code and your backup codes. Our guide to contacting OnlyFans support as a creator covers which inbox handles what and what never belongs in a ticket.

[For an international wire: my bank's Destination Trace ID is [ID].]

Rejected or suspended payouts (to support@onlyfans.com)
Subject: Payout request rejected, @[username]
Hello, my payout request on [date] came back with the reason “[paste the reason]”. [Or: my account now shows “Please contact support to resume payouts”.] Since then I have [what you changed, with the date]. My login details were last changed on [date], by me.
Is anything else on my account blocking payouts before I make a new request? Thank you, @[username]
When the payout is a symptom of something bigger
A payout block can travel with an account-level decision. If your notifications mention a restriction or deactivation, work through the OnlyFans restricted account appeal checklist, or the first 48 hours after a suspension if the whole account is down, before chasing the money itself.
Tax and legal holds are another possibility. The Terms of Use let OnlyFans restrict payouts if you become tax non-compliant in relation to your OnlyFans income, and let it withhold earnings while a lien, levy or other encumbrance applies. If a tax authority or court is involved, speak to a registered tax agent or accountant rather than relying on support tickets.
Fraud checks can also pause money. OnlyFans' page on safeguarding against money laundering and fraud lists red flags its team watches for, including transaction attempts where the fan and creator share an IP address and messages asking for money to be sent back through third-party payment methods. It says a flagged account or transaction may be suspended until the investigation ends. If something on that list could describe recent activity on your account, explain it plainly in your ticket. Chargeback patterns are covered in our chargeback prevention records guide.
Limitations of this checklist
Everything here comes from OnlyFans' public help articles, Creator Center, Terms of Use and interface text as they read on 1 October 2026. That sets its limits: OnlyFans can change timings, minimums and labels without notice, payout options vary by country, and what your own Statements page shows outranks this guide. It can't explain a hold that OnlyFans itself hasn't explained to you, and it isn't financial, legal or tax advice.
