A MYM Fans creator account costs nothing to open at creators.mym.fans, but fans will not properly see your profile and you cannot withdraw money until MYM certifies it. The Certification article lists what that takes: at least three media online on your feed, contact details that exactly match a passport or national identity card, a mobile number confirmed by SMS, the document itself and a safety selfie holding it. After certification, every sale loses bank charges and a MYM royalty, and validated earnings become payable once they reach the €50 threshold in the MYM Terms of Service.
This guide follows the order you meet things in, from the contract to the growth tools, and flags each place where MYM's own pages contradict one another. Every source was read on 1 October 2026. If you are still choosing where to publish, our comparison of OnlyFans alternatives covers the wider field.
Who operates MYM and which documents bind you
MYM is run by AIR MEDIAS, a French company with its registered office in Paris, according to its legal notice. Your contract is the creator Terms of Service, published in French in a version dated 24 July 2025 even though the page heading is English. Alongside it sit the Terms of Use, the Terms of Sale that govern each sale between you and a fan, and the Content Policy. Help-centre summaries such as the 10 commandments of the General Terms of Services say plainly that they are not contractual, so when a summary and the contract disagree, the contract wins.
Accounts start with personal status. Companies and sole traders can switch to a professional account by supplying company details and a registration certificate, which sends a certified account through certification again. Professional creators must then invoice MYM for every payment it generates, and the invoicing article says the switch cannot be backdated.
Opening and certifying the account
Registration needs only an email and password, or a Facebook or Google sign-in. The Registration article then walks you through onboarding, where you add your legal name, date of birth, creator category, nickname, profile picture, bio, displayed city, social links, a subscription price and three hashtags. Certification is the step that decides whether you can earn, and MYM is stricter about documents than many creators expect.
MYM creator setup checklist
- Settle personal or professional status first, since switching later means certifying again.
- Have a valid passport or national identity card ready; MYM turns away driving licences, residence permits and health insurance cards.
- Type your names exactly as printed on that document, using your maiden name if you are married, and give a current postal address.
- Confirm your mobile by SMS code; MYM sends codes to the same number when you later change your IBAN, phone or email.
- Take the safety selfie with the document readable in your hand and your whole face visible, with no glasses, hat or filter.
- Publish media before applying: the Certification article asks for three online while the Registration article mentions your first five, so posting five satisfies both.
- Add a bank account in your own name, in your country's format (IBAN and BIC across most of Europe, BSB and account number in Australia), as the payment method article explains.
- Collect written image-rights permission from anyone else who appears in your media, because MYM can ask for it with a copy of their ID.
- Keep to one creator account, as MYM blocks a second account of the same type automatically.
MYM's cyber protection article says certification checks your ID, age, bank details, address and phone number, and that facial age estimation from the provider Yoti was added in 2022 without MYM storing the biometric data. Our walkthrough of OnlyFans verification timing shows how the largest platform runs the same step.
What MYM deducts from each sale
You set prices excluding tax. For fans in the European Union, VAT is added on top and passed to the state. Bank charges are then calculated on the tax-inclusive amount, and MYM's royalty, which the contract calls the Redevance, comes off the pre-tax price after bank charges; section 8.2.1 of the Terms of Service sets out that order.
| MYM sale type | Royalty in the contract (standard / Superstar) | How the help centre puts it | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly or six-month MYM subscription | 25% / 24% | Creator keeps 75%, one point more as a Superstar | Terms of Service, Annex 1; MYM fees |
| Private media and paid push media | 20% / 19% | Creator keeps 80%, one point more as a Superstar | Terms of Service, Annex 1; MYM fees |
| Lives and private shows on MYM | 20% / 19% | Creator keeps 80% on private shows | Terms of Service, Annex 1; MYM fees |
| Tips from MYM fans | 20% / 19% | Fixed 80% payout even for Superstars, contradicting the annex | Terms of Service, Annex 1; MYM fees |
| Bank charges on each MYM transaction | 7% for High Risk accounts, 3.5% for Low Risk | One 7% rate, taxes included, with no risk classes | Terms of Service, Annex 1; MYM fees |
Two conflicts sit inside that table. The MYM fees article applies 7% bank charges to everyone, but Annex 1 of the Terms of Service reserves 7% for High Risk accounts, defined as adult or suggestive content, clairvoyance and astrology, and regulated activities, and charges 3.5% to everyone else. The help centre also says the Superstar bonus skips tips, while the annex lists a 19% Superstar royalty on them. The annex is the contractual text, so price from it and ask support to confirm your risk class in writing.
The line on MYM's corporate site that 80% of revenue is shared with creators on average is marketing copy, not a contract rate. MYM's own worked example shows why: a €100 private media bought from France costs the fan €120 with VAT, loses €8.40 in bank charges, and leaves the creator €73.28. To estimate your own net per sale:
- Start from your pre-tax price, or the discounted price if you issued the promo code yourself.
- For an EU buyer, add their country's VAT to get what the fan pays; MYM passes it to the state and none of it reaches you.
- Multiply the fan-paid amount by your bank-charge rate once support has confirmed your risk class.
- Subtract that charge from your pre-tax price, then multiply by your payout share (one minus the royalty above).
- Ignore discounts from codes MYM issued, which section 6.1.9 of the contract takes out of MYM's royalty instead of your earnings.
When earnings validate and how payouts reach you
Every sale lands in your balance as pending and only becomes withdrawable once validated. The wait depends on what was sold.
| MYM earnings type | Time before it validates | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Private media, push media, live tickets and tips | 7 days from the fan's payment | Terms of Service, 8.2.1; pending and validated earnings |
| Monthly MYM subscriptions | 15 days | Terms of Service, 8.2.1; pending and validated earnings |
| Six-month MYM subscriptions | 60 days | Terms of Service, 8.2.1; pending and validated earnings |
| MYM earnings under suspicion of fraud | Payment can slip to two months after the fan paid | Terms of Service, 8.2.3 |
To withdraw, the Terms of Service require a certified account, a payout method, at least €50 (or the equivalent) of validated earnings, any KYC checks the payment provider asks for and, for professional accounts, a compliant invoice. The withdrawal article adds a €100 threshold for bank accounts outside the SEPA area, which the contract never mentions. Its SEPA list leaves out Australia, the United States and Canada, so creators banking there should plan around the higher figure until support says otherwise.
Payouts are generated automatically at the frequency you choose, from twice a week to monthly, and the same withdrawal article says transfers leave on Monday and Thursday mornings, with extra runs on the 1st and 15th of each month. Bank transfer is the default; PayPal is reserved for Superstar accounts according to the payment method article, although MYM's introductory help page lists PayPal without that condition.
Two clauses decide who absorbs bad payments. Under section 8.2.4 of the Terms of Service, MYM carries fraud losses up to 1% of your overall turnover on the platform, and anything beyond that is yours. And if you close your account while fans still have subscription time left, refunding them is your responsibility, taken from your balance where possible.
For bookkeeping, MYM's income declaration article promises a statement on the 15th of each month for the month before and an annual one each January, but its tax notes cover France only. Wherever you live, MYM income is yours to declare, so ask a registered tax agent or accountant in your country.
Rules that can freeze an account or its earnings
Section 15.2 of the Terms of Service lists conduct that can justify suspension or termination. Several items catch creators who also run pages elsewhere:
- Inviting a MYM user to a competing platform, which rules out using MYM messages to move subscribers to your other pages.
- Asking a user to meet in person.
- Infringing someone's intellectual property or image rights.
- Collecting several warnings within three months, which the contract treats as grounds in itself.
- Insulting a user, denigrating MYM or breaching the Content Policy.
A suspended account cannot collect income, and the terms allow 30 days to fix the problem before MYM may terminate; they also permit deleting an account after 18 months without a login. MYM's Digital Services Act article says you now get a notice stating the measure, the main reason and your remedies, so keep every one.
If someone helps run your account, declare them: section 6.1.2 of the contract requires any agent or agency to be reported to MYM support, and you stay responsible for everything done through the account. MYM's agency article adds that it has no partner or certified agencies and recommends a written contract covering exit terms, confidentiality, data, intellectual property and money; our agency contract clause checklist covers what to ask for. For shared inbox access, MYM documents one integrated CRM, Infloww, which its integration article says lets a team member chat without your password.
AI-generated content is allowed when disclosed. The AI content article asks for a virtual image label or the #AI or #AIgenerated hashtags, offers an AI profile badge, and requires written permission from anyone whose likeness is recreated. If you publish AI work on several platforms, compare it with our Fanvue AI creator rules.
Privacy and content protection settings worth switching on
- SMS two-factor authentication under Login & Security; the account security article says MYM staff never ask for your password or card details and only email from @mym.fans addresses.
- Hiding your profile from Google, blocking chosen countries and hiding your subscriber count, all under Monetization Rules, as the profile visibility article describes.
- Watermarks on feed and private media, and leak reports that give MYM's legal team the original MYM link and the outside URL.
- Impersonation reports with the fake profile's username; MYM's identity theft article says it deactivates the account after a 24 to 48 hour check.
MYM admits none of this stops a screenshot or a phone pointed at a screen. For a routine that covers every platform you use, see our anonymous creator privacy guide.
Growing on MYM with its own tools
MYM's growth advice turns on what you show publicly, how you message and what you sell beyond the subscription. This feature map pairs each tool with the rule that most often trips creators up.
| MYM feature | What it does | Rule worth knowing | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blurred and public feed posts | Blurred posts are visible to subscribers only; public ones are open to anyone | MYM suggests a feed that is 5 to 15% public, and explicit material is never accepted in public posts | Getting-started tutorial; content types article |
| Private media requests | A subscriber asks for custom content and you quote a price or decline | 72 hours to deliver once the fan pays, and a mismatched delivery can be refunded | Private media article |
| Push messages | Free or paid group messages carrying up to five media | One push every seven days to former subscribers or followers, and a sent push cannot be edited | Push article |
| MOD (Media on Demand) catalogue | A profile tab that keeps paid pushes on sale after sending | Paid pushes only, and non-subscribers must subscribe before buying | MOD article |
| Private shows | One-to-one live sessions, instant or booked against a synced calendar | Five minutes to two hours, priced €19.99 to €1,000, with 15 minutes to join before the fan is refunded | Private show article |
| Promotions and discount vouchers | First-month subscription discounts and single-use codes | One campaign at a time, and a fan gets more than 50% off from the same creator once every six months | Promotion article |
| Tracking links | Attribute visits, subscriptions and revenue to the channel that sent the fan | Up to 100 active links with last-click attribution inside one hour, lost if the fan switches device | Tracking links article |
| Superstar status on MYM | A monthly badge with search suggestions, a one-point royalty cut and PayPal payouts | Needs 50 active subscribers through the month, two feed posts a week and private media delivered within 48 hours on average | Superstar article |
The home feed is where non-subscribers find you, and MYM's visibility article says only public posts that are high quality, aesthetic, suggestive rather than explicit and free of text or emojis get highlighted there. Mind the caps as well: the loyalty article allows two public posts a day, while the scheduling article mentions five scheduled ones, so stay at the lower figure until MYM clarifies.
Be deliberate with discounts. MYM's guidance on promotion settings suggests steep or free first months only pay off when paid messages or media are ready for new subscribers; without that follow-up, a discount mostly swaps revenue for volume. Judge a campaign on renewals at full price in the second month, not sign-ups in the first.
The sponsorship program pays 10% of a referred creator's earnings, excluding tips and purchases made with a MYM promo code, according to Sponsorship at MYM. How long it pays is less clear: that article and Annex 7 of the Terms of Service give 24 months from the referred creator's sign-up, while the creator summary of the terms still says three years. Plan on the shorter period.
Limitations of this guide
Everything above comes from MYM's help centre, legal notice and French-language contract as they stood on 1 October 2026. MYM edits help articles often, and many of the pages cited changed in the month before publication, so recheck the fee annex and the withdrawal article before you set prices or plan cash flow. Some creators are on special conditions that override the standard royalty, and your bank-charge class is set by MYM with its payment providers, not by you. Nothing here is legal or tax advice; for contracts, VAT registration or income tax, speak to a qualified adviser where you live.
MYM is one of several European subscription platforms with rules of their own. If a German-speaking audience matters to you, our guide to 4based for creators applies the same document-first method to a platform run from Switzerland. This guide is published by SirenCY, an OnlyFans management agency based in Melbourne; its application page is the way to contact the team.
