How much webcam models make has no honest single answer, because earnings swing with hours, prices, site and audience, and no cam site publishes pay data anyone can check. What you can work out precisely is your own take-home: what the site credits you, minus payout fees, wallet charges, running costs and the tax you set aside. The worksheet below does that line by line, using each site's published rates and your own numbers.
The rates come from Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and LiveJasmin help pages as they read on 1 October 2026, and the tax lines point to the IRS and the Australian Taxation Office. Picking a site first? Our best webcam sites for models matrix compares their payout terms, and our webcam modeling vs OnlyFans guide weighs live work against a subscription page.
Why this page gives no average
Search results for this question are full of hourly and monthly figures with no data behind them. The sites themselves avoid publishing one: Stripchat's help article titled how much Stripchat models make explains that your earnings-per-hour figure is calculated from your own last 30 hours of streaming and then shows the token formula, not a typical income. Recruitment pages that quote top earners describe the top of a range, not what a new model should plan around.
The useful numbers are already in your account. Stripchat's earnings statistics page shows your average hourly income and earnings by paying user, LiveJasmin's Model Center dashboard shows total earnings, working time and average earnings per hour, and Chaturbate's Token Stats show what you have earned and converted. Use those, and this worksheet turns them into money you keep.
The income worksheet
Copy the rows into a spreadsheet and fill one copy per pay period. Use line D for token sites and line G for LiveJasmin; if you work both, run a copy for each and add the results.
| Line | What to enter | Where it comes from | Your number |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Hours you were live this period | Your own log, or the working-time figure on your stats page | ____ |
| B | Tokens earned on a token site | Chaturbate Token Stats, Stripchat Earnings, MyFreeCams Payment Stats | ____ |
| C | What one token is worth to you | $0.05 on Chaturbate, Stripchat and MyFreeCams | 0.05 |
| D | Site earnings, token site | B × C | ____ |
| E | Paid minutes and your price per minute on LiveJasmin | Income Overview and your price settings, in credits | ____ |
| F | Level share applied to those minutes | 30% to 80% by LiveJasmin level, reset each period; check Income Overview | ____ |
| G | Site earnings, per-minute site | Minutes × price × F, plus fixed-share income such as fan club and awards | ____ |
| H | Payout fees for your method | Your site's fee table, plus any fast-payout fee you chose | ____ |
| I | Wallet, bank and currency charges | Your wallet or bank's fee schedule | ____ |
| J | Running costs for the period | Receipts: equipment share, internet, software, outfits and set dressing | ____ |
| K | Tax set-aside | A rate agreed with your tax agent or accountant | ____ |
| L | Take-home for the period | D or G, minus H, I, J and K | ____ |
| M | Take-home per live hour | L ÷ A | ____ |
Line M is the number to compare across sites, shifts and months. A site with a higher rate can still lose on M once its fees, slower payout or weaker hours are counted.
Filling in the site lines
Token sites are straightforward once you know the value. Chaturbate's conversion table, Stripchat's token value article and the MyFreeCams payment wiki all put a model's token at $0.05. On Chaturbate, only converted tokens are paid, so enter converted tokens on line B; our Chaturbate token calculator shows the cut-offs and minimums that decide which period they land in.
LiveJasmin needs more care. Its level system pays 30% of level-dependent income at Level 1, rising to 80% at Level 9, and resets you to Level 1 at the start of every period, while awards, referrals, gifts, bonuses and fan club income have fixed shares outside the levels. Rather than guess which level applied to which minutes, read the shares from your Income Overview. The payout FAQ says one credit is roughly one US dollar, so treat line G as approximate until the payout invoice arrives. Our Stripchat vs LiveJasmin guide reproduces the level table.
Decisions the worksheet can settle
Once you have two or three periods filled in, the worksheet stops being a record and starts answering business questions. Change one input at a time and watch line M.
- Is a faster payout worth its fee? Compare line M with and without the fee on line H. If waiting would force you onto a credit card or overdraft, the fee may still be the cheaper option.
- Is a second site worth adding? Fill in a copy for each site over the same number of live hours. A site that adds tokens but also adds a second payout fee, a second minimum and extra admin time may not raise M at all.
- Should you raise your prices? On a token site, change the token price you charge and keep line C fixed; on LiveJasmin, change the price in line E and remember the share on line F may change too.
- Is a new piece of equipment paying for itself? Spread its cost across the periods you expect to use it on line J, then check whether M moves once it is in use.
- Which shift is weakest? Split line A by time slot for a month and compare take-home per hour slot by slot before you cut or add hours.
Keep each answer with the date and the inputs you used. Rates and fees change, and a decision that was right under last quarter's numbers may need rerunning.
Fees and costs people forget
- Payout method fees. On Chaturbate they run from nothing for ACH or a USPS check to $45 for Bitcoin, per its payment options table; Stripchat's getting paid page says it charges models none.
- Speed fees. Chaturbate's daily payout costs $3.95 per day used, and LiveJasmin's payout system charges 1% for Fast payout or 3% for Instant payout on top of its method fees.
- Currency margins. LiveJasmin's euro payout rules use the European Central Bank mid-market rate plus a 0.3% difference, and your bank may convert again.
- Wallet withdrawals. Paxum, Cosmo Payment and similar wallets publish their own fees for moving money to your bank.
- Equipment wear and replacement: cameras, lights, microphones and the computer you stream from. Our webcam modeling equipment checklist lists what each site recommends.
- Internet. If your home plan also serves personal use, only the business share belongs on line J.
- Unpaid time. Setup, moderation, payout admin and record keeping all take hours that do not appear on line A; count them separately if you want an honest hourly picture.
Setting aside tax
Cam sites treat models as independent contractors. Stripchat's tax article says models are not its employees and must declare their own earnings, and LiveJasmin's payout FAQ says reporting earnings to tax authorities is the performer's responsibility. None of these sites' help pages describes withholding income tax for you, so line K is your job.
In the United States, the IRS gig economy tax center says platform income must be reported even when no 1099 form arrives, and its self-employment tax page sets that tax at 15.3%, on top of income tax. The estimated taxes page says individuals generally pay quarterly if they expect to owe $1,000 or more. For the 1099 forms themselves, the IRS page on filing Form 1099 sets a $2,000 threshold for payments made in 2026, replacing $600, although some cam-site help pages still quote the older figure.
In Australia, the ATO's note on reporting income you earn online lists creating or selling digital content and online entertainment as sharing economy income that you must add to your return yourself, because platform data does not pre-fill it. If you expect a tax bill, the ATO lets you enter PAYG instalments voluntarily and pay through the year, usually quarterly. US creators can find form-by-form detail in our guide to creator taxes, 1099s and deductions.
Keep records from the first shift
The worksheet is only as good as your records. The ATO's record-keeping rules for business ask you to keep most records for five years and to document the business share of anything you also use personally. Practical sources are already built in: Stripchat emails a payout report PDF on request and offers self-billing invoices, LiveJasmin lists invoices on its Payout Overview page, and Chaturbate keeps your converted totals on its stats page.
- After each shift, note the site, start and end time, and the token or minute totals from the stats page.
- At each period close, export or screenshot the site's earnings summary and file it by month.
- When a payout arrives, record the amount sent, the fees taken and the date it reached you.
- Keep receipts for equipment and running costs, marking the business share of shared items.
- Once a quarter, fill in lines A to M and move the tax set-aside into a separate account.
Running a subscription page as well? Our OnlyFans payout forecast worksheet applies the same assumption-led method to subscription income.
Limitations of this worksheet
The worksheet estimates take-home from numbers you already have; it cannot forecast future earnings, and it deliberately contains no averages. Site rates and fees are those published on 1 October 2026 and may change, and LiveJasmin's level shares and credit value are approximations until your invoice confirms them. The tax lines are general information drawn from IRS and ATO pages, not advice for your situation, and other countries have different rules. Before you rely on a set-aside rate, ask a registered tax agent or accountant.
