MYM vs OnlyFans is mostly a question of where your paying fans live and which currency they pay in. MYM is a French platform run by AIR MEDIAS SAS under French-language terms of use governed by French law, and its fee page says it deducts a 7% bank charge and then pays creators 75% of what remains on subscriptions and 80% on private media, private shows and tips. OnlyFans, operated by Fenix International in England and Wales, takes 20% of each fan payment and transacts in US dollars under its Terms of Use.
This page compares the two on money, payouts, verification, visibility and referral terms, read from each platform's help centre and terms on 1 October 2026. It assumes you know the basics of OnlyFans; for the wider field of platforms, see our comparison of OnlyFans alternatives.

Fee worksheet: run both formulas on your own prices
MYM takes its bank charge from the tax-inclusive amount but applies the creator rate to the price before tax, so the two platforms need different formulas. Fill in your own figures: P is your price before tax, T is what the fan pays including any VAT, r is MYM's creator rate for that type of sale, and F is an OnlyFans fan payment before indirect sales tax.
- MYM, per sale: payout = (P minus 7% of T) multiplied by r, with r at 75% for subscriptions and 80% for private media, private shows and tips, per MYM's fee page.
- MYM SuperStar creators: add one percentage point to r for subscriptions and private media but not for tips, per the same fee page.
- OnlyFans, per sale: earnings = F multiplied by 80%, because the Terms of Use set OnlyFans' fee at 20% of the total fan payment, add indirect sales tax on top for the fan, and define your earnings as what remains after fees and any applicable tax rules.
- After the split: MYM's withdrawal page lists thresholds and schedules but no separate payout fee, while OnlyFans' terms warn that your bank or e-wallet may charge conversion or other fees on dollar payouts. Add your own bank's charges to both.
MYM's own worked example, from its fee page: a private media sale priced at €100 bought by a fan in France costs that fan €120 including 20% VAT, the bank charge is €8.40, and the creator receives (100 minus 8.40) × 80% = €73.28. The same sale to a fan in the United States carries no VAT, the bank charge is €7, and the creator receives €74.40.
Two readings follow. On MYM the same price earns slightly different amounts depending on where the fan lives, because VAT changes the base for the bank charge. And because subscriptions carry MYM's lower creator rate, its fees bite hardest on a subscription-only model. To model OnlyFans at different prices, use our OnlyFans earnings calculator.
Getting paid: thresholds, holds and schedules
MYM releases money in stages. Its withdrawal page requires a certified account, a payment method and at least €50 of validated earnings, or €100 if your bank account is outside the SEPA zone; its SEPA list includes the UK, Switzerland and Norway alongside EU countries. Before that, earnings sit as pending: the validation article moves monthly subscription income to validated after 15 days, six-month subscriptions after 60 days, and private media, private shows and tips within 7 days, with longer holds possible where fraud is suspected.
Validated money is paid on the schedule you pick, from twice a week to once a month, with transfers on Monday and Thursday mornings and on the 1st and 15th of each month according to the withdrawal page, by bank transfer or PayPal according to MYM's introduction page. Professional accounts add a step: MYM's invoicing guide says each payment must be matched by a compliant invoice on company letterhead and is not processed until that invoice is validated.
OnlyFans' Terms of Use say earnings can be withdrawn once they show in your account and meet a minimum payout amount, without stating that amount, and that refunds and chargebacks can be deducted. Which payout options you get depends on your country; our guide to OnlyFans banking options covers them.
Verification and what you can show publicly
MYM's identity rules are narrower. Its certification article accepts only a valid passport or national identity card, not a driving licence or residence permit, plus a selfie holding the document with your face uncovered and unfiltered, a phone number confirmed by SMS, and contact details that match the ID exactly, including a maiden name where relevant. Your profile only becomes properly visible to fans once you are certified, and MYM's account rules allow one creator account per person.
OnlyFans asks for a valid form of ID and two photos of you, bank or payment details and a payout option, and can request further age or identity checks at any time, per its Terms of Use. Our OnlyFans identity verification guide covers that process.
Visibility works differently too. MYM's promotion article says its homepage feed only highlights public posts that are HD, aesthetic, suggestive but non-explicit, and free of text or emojis, so your shop window has to work without explicit material. A SuperStar badge marks active creators: the badges article describes weekly profile updates and replies to private media requests in under 48 hours, while the terms summary adds at least 50 subscribers a month and two media a week.
OnlyFans' terms say less about discovery inside the platform and more about how you promote it: links to your page must follow the rules of the site where you post them, and you may not promote your account through Google Ads or similar search advertising.
Referral and sponsorship terms
Both platforms pay you for bringing in new creators, and on both the payment comes from the platform rather than the creator you referred. MYM's sponsorship article pays 10% of what a sponsored creator earns from private media, push media, private shows and subscriptions, excluding tips and sales made with a promo code, and says the collection period is now limited to 2 years from the affiliate's account creation. The summary of its terms still says 3 years, and MYM notes that summary is not contractual, so check the full sponsorship terms before relying on either.
OnlyFans' Referral Program Terms pay 5% of the fan payments a referred creator generates in their first 12 months, capped at US$50,000 per referred creator and paid around the first day of the next month. They also forbid promoting referral links through Google Ads, and warn readers not to be misled by claims that high earnings come easily.
Market-fit checklist for French and EU audiences
The more of these lines are true for you, the stronger the case for MYM; the fewer, the more OnlyFans' dollar-based setup suits you.
- Most of your paying fans live in France or the wider euro area, and paying in euros matters to them.
- Your bank account sits in the SEPA zone, so MYM's lower withdrawal threshold applies.
- You can work under French-language terms governed by French law, or will have them translated and reviewed.
- You can certify with a passport or national ID card, since a driving licence alone will not pass.
- Your public posts and profile images can stay non-explicit, because MYM's public feed and homepage require it.
- If you trade through a company, you can issue a compliant invoice for every MYM payment without delay.
- You are tax resident in France and have read the guidance MYM points to on declaring income, or you have checked your own country's rules, because that page covers France only.
- For OnlyFans, you have priced in conversion on dollar payouts and checked how UK or EU VAT applies if you are registered.

Limitations of this comparison
This comparison reads documents; it does not measure audience size, conversion or earnings on either platform, and nothing here predicts results. MYM's pages disagree on the sponsorship period and on how many media certification needs, OnlyFans' terms leave the minimum payout unstated, and both platforms can change their rules, so recheck the live pages before deciding. MYM's full terms are in French and its income guidance is France-specific.
This is general information, not tax or legal advice: speak to a registered tax agent or accountant about VAT and income tax where you live, and to a lawyer about contract terms.
